A Game of Tomes: Literary Trivia for Charity
2017 Theme: MICHIGAN CONNECTION
“When you play a game of thrones you win or you die.”
When you play A Game of Tomes you might win, but you will definitely... have a good time! Gather your friends, family and neighbors and form a team for SSLDL’s Game of Tomes for charity!
Each team pays $30 to participate and will choose a non-library charity of their choice. If your team wins, a donation will be made to the charity you selected. Teams can have a maximum of 5 participants each. This event requires your team to read a list of books chosen by our librarian, then answer trivia related questions based on the books.
The books will be available at Salem-South Lyon District Library by June 15th. All team registrations are due by Monday, August 7th by 9pm. Please visit the “Ask Us” desk for more information. Remember “Winter is coming”, so have some fun this summer and put your trivia skills to the test!
The books:
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
Midnight Plan of the Repo Man by W. Bruce Cameron
A Cold Day in Paradise by Steve Hamilton
The Road to Wellville by T.C. Boyle
