Join us for Genot “Winter Elk” Picor’s “Stories, Songs and Dances of the Metis’ Voyageur.” Mr. Picor will tell the story of his ancestors as a scout for the audience for a journey along Michigan’s waterways and into the interior.  Come join the fun with interactive stories, sing-alongs and a community dance from Michigan’s fur trading history. Audience members will learn a story using voice and Native American hand-talking and learn who or what was hiding in the haunted sugar cabin. Children are invited to play a Native American game, sing a canoe song and learn a community dance from Michigan’s fur trading history. Genot is a listed performer in the 2018-2021 Touring Directory of the Michigan Arts and Humanities Council and is a listed resource for the Historical Society of Michigan.
